The cost of repainting a panel is what makes a small dent feel like a big problem. PDR avoids it entirely — when the conditions are right, your car leaves with its original factory paint and no evidence the dent was ever there.

When PDR isn’t the answer

If the paint has cracked, the metal has stretched, or the dent has a sharp edge that’s chipped the paint, you’ll need a small repaint. We’ll tell you straight — and a small repaint at JD is still cheaper and faster than a full panel replacement at most main dealers.

WhatsApp a clear shot of the dent — straight on and at an angle if possible. We can usually tell from the photo whether it's a PDR job or a repaint.

We assess

Some dents look small but have a sharp crease the paint won't survive. We'll tell you honestly whether PDR works, or whether a small repaint is needed.

We fix it

PDR jobs are usually done in 1–2 hours. We work the metal back from behind the panel using rods and slides — no body filler, no respray.

Frequently asked questions

When does paintless dent removal work?

PDR works when the paint is unbroken and the metal isn't stretched (most dings, parking knocks, and small hail damage). It doesn't work for dents with cracked paint, sharp creases that have pierced the panel, or rust.

Will the dent come back?

No. Once the metal is worked back to its original shape, it stays. The car returns to factory condition with its original paint untouched.

How much does a small dent cost to fix?

Single small dents start from £80. Multiple dents on the same panel are usually quoted together at a discount. Send photos for a real number.

Can you fix dents on aluminium panels?

Yes — aluminium needs a different technique (heat plus pulling rather than pushing) but it's well within what we do.

How long does it take?

A single PDR job is typically 1–2 hours. We can sometimes book you in same-day if the workshop has a slot.
